The 2025 Mahindra Thar takes the iconic SUV to a whole new level, blending its legendary off-road capability with modern comfort and everyday practicality. In this video, we explore all the updates and upgrades that make this Thar more livable than ever — without losing its rugged DNA.

From exterior tweaks like the refreshed front grille, dual-tone bumper, new R18 alloy wheels, and two striking new colours — Tango Red and Battleship Grey — to interior improvements such as the black-themed dashboard, redesigned steering wheel, sliding armrest, rear AC vents, and door-mounted power window switches, every detail has been refined for a better driving experience.

The tech suite has also been upgraded, featuring a 26 cm HD infotainment screen with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, six-speaker audio with tweeters, Type-C USB ports, Adventure Statistics Gen II for off-road data, and tyre safety systems (TDMS & Tyretronics). Mahindra has thoughtfully added practical touches like cupholders, a rear wash-and-wipe setup, entry assist handles, and a remote-operated fuel lid.

Under the hood, the 2025 Thar offers three engine options:

1.5L D117 CRDe diesel (117 bhp, 300 Nm) – RWD, 6-speed manual

2.2L mHawk diesel (130 bhp, 300 Nm) – MT/AT, RWD & 4x4

2.0L mStallion petrol (150 bhp, 320 Nm) – MT/AT, RWD & 4x4

On-road, it’s more comfortable and refined, while off-road, it remains one of the most capable SUVs in its class — easily handling slush, water crossings, rock trails, and steep inclines.
